The Adventures of a Chimney sweep

So this past saturday I came very close to falling off a roof top.  It was my last job, the sun was out, and I finished early, so I decided to take a nice 20 min. nap under the sun.... It was great!  I propped my feet up against the chimney and enjoyed the blue sky! :-)
Fully refreshed I walked back to the top of the roof and was headed down to my ladder... It was a little slippery but I thought I would be o.k.  Not a step later, I completely slipped and fell flat on my back sliding down the slick shingles!!!  With nothing to slow me down all I could do was shimmy over to my ladder, AS I WAS SLIDING TOWARDS THE EDGE!  luckily, I hit a dry spot and it caught my shirt slowing me down enough to catch and grab my ladder before my 25 ft. drop!
I collected myself and started down the ladder like nothing even happened.  It was great to not be fearful through the entire thing.  A couple of months ago if that would have happened, I would have been shaking more than Sam & Sarah do during those blisteringly cold MN mornings! ;-)

Great picture! The story made me laugh after getting a play by play on Saturday...although I will say I am a bit concerned about your chimney sweeping days...I better not tell Grandma Fern about this...she would be VERY worried about you! :)

This is exactly why I am not a chimney sweep. Entering into the lives of 6th graders can be a dangerous adventure, but I do not fear for my life! Hey- you are a chimney sweep and entering into 6th graders' world. Don't let anyone tell you that you are not a radical risk taker- you are living life on the edge my friend.
