So lately we've been having some really GREAT weather in lovely Alexandria. It was nice to wake up to sunshine coming through the window and knowing I had the day off! I casually got myself around and walked down a block to elmos (our local coffee shop) for some good down time with my ipod and a good book. It was a fantastic morning!
Because it was so warm out, one of my friends and I decided it would be a good day to do some car washing. I've been meaning to wash them for some time but because of the weather it just hasn't happened. So we made a trip to Target to get our needed supplies and started washing! I haven't washed either my car or truck in quite a while so it was quite rewarding to get them B-E-A-Utiful again! While we were washing them I had some what of a reflection moment on God's faithfulness in my life... specifically with providing for me. Up until 8 months ago I had never even owned a car. I have some how managed to get through 8 years of being able to drive without having my own set of wheels! But God always provided in every season (or location) I was in at the time. Now, after coming to DC with literally nothing I have 2 VEHICLES! Crazy... God has really been doing a lot in my heart lately concerning sonship and truly believing God is a loving father who gives good gifts to His children and who I can approach with boldness and not with fear like an outsider would who struggles to understand his place as a child of God. Galatians 4:7 "Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir."
Reflecting on God's faithfulness and thanking Him constantly (even for the small things) creates a deeper awareness of His presence, and I believe, makes you an even greater catalyst for His further provision in our lives!
"All I have seen, teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen."

Good job washing the vehicles, they look great! I can't fathom it being warm enough to wash a car...we are still slipping on ice here! :)
Yea um if I wash my car it's like putting on a sign that says: "Well taken care of vehicle. Please bust open the window and take anything you can find." My car is, sadly, dirty.

No car for 8 years and now 2- wow! You are ridin' in style- different cars for different looks. I enjoyed your inspiring insights- I agree that God is very fond of you and delights to take care of you as you step out in this faith adventure at DC Metro. Read Psalm 139:17-18. He thinks about you quite a bit!
