The Launch!

So this past week we officially launched ELEVATE (our High school ministry) and RADIATE (our Middle school ministry)!  It has been fun getting to know the different students who have been coming to DCMetro as well as students throughout Alexandria.

This past Sunday at RADIATE we had a pretty cool relay race to start things off right!

The objective: Take m&m's from one plate to another plate about 20 ft. away.

The catch:  You could only use your mouth, and right before we started I surprised everyone with a little whip-cream action! (you should have seen their faces!)  It was a ton of fun!  Although, I had the smell of sour milk stuck in my nostrils ALL DAY!!! Not a very pleasant smell!

"Radiate" huh, that sounds like a great name for a student ministry...just off the top of my head, you could say..."R-adically A-wakened D-isciples I-lluminating and A-wakening the E-arth!" ;)

Hey David, this is Andee. Sour Nostrils would be a great name for your youth band. Can't wait to see how God sets more & more teenagers on fire for Him through your ministry!

I don't see a picture with your face in one of the pies - I have found that kids learn best when we model the behavior we want them to emulate. Those students are very blessed to have you as their leader-they will never be "short" on fun or depth. P.S. The sour nostril comment was a little TMI!
